Griffin Helo TC Touch-Controlled Helicopter

We know that txting while driving a car is bad, how about txting while flying a helicopter?  The new Griffin Helo TC uses your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch as the controller.

The helo is a twin-rotor design, so it is nice and stable.  The included Flight Deck plugs into your iOS device’s headphone jack and beams the infrared commands right to the chopper. Use the virtual joystick on your Multi-Touch display to maneuver the chopper, or tilt your iOS device to move the chopper forward, backward, and side to side.

Once of the cool features is the ability to record and store up to three Flight Plans. Make up routes among the furniture, missions to fly, obstacles to avoid, goals to achieve, and replay them later with your friends.

Don’t think you have to fly alone, either.  Just change the channel in the app from one of the 3 available, and you and two of your iPhone geek friends can crash these in peace!

At $49.99, this chopper is right in line cost wise with similar copters.
