Hennessey is known for making fast cars with insane numbers, and this one is no different. The 2013 Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo is based on a Cadillac sports coupe, but then Hennessey pissed it off. A twin-turbo 7.0L V8 makes an Earth stopping 1,226 hp and 1,109 lb-ft torque, which moves the car from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 242 mph.
With that much power, the drive train needed some upgrades too – so the camshaft, fuel system and injectors, brakes, wheels and tires, suspension, sway bars were all made beefier. The interior was worked over to match the outside. Of course, no high-end sports car would be complete without some carbon fiber, which you’ll now find on the front splitter, rear diffuser, front fenders, hood, and rear flares.
Hennessey is only making 12 of these, so you won’t have to worry about parking next to another one at Walmart.
